A fond farewell to Lyle's in London

Lyle's, helmed by Chef James Lowe, was an exceptional example of British seasonal cooking and one of my favourites.
The game broth below is an example of the perfect winter hug.
James is a complex chap. In our brief discussions throughout my visits, he talked earnestly about the challenges of running the restaurant. If I asked for a P&L statement, he probably would have given it to me on the spot.
James is looking for a new spot, and I hope he's able to reassemble the magic, if not some of the team, from Lyle's. The wine service was always exceptional as well.
Sadly although it was my last meal at Lyle's, I did get some good luck buck shot in my pheasant :)
