Sometimes you visit restaurants for the food. Sometimes you visit restaurants for the people. Sometimes it's both.

I was thrilled to return to Den Kushi Flori to see Kyoko, one of the best hosts in the world, who effortlessly glides across the restaurant and takes care of the pairings and the entire restaurant.

As they take a nod to Den and Florilege, this time the "Dentucky Fried Chicken" was off the menu and we got salt-baked turnip, which you can find on the Florilege menu in season.

Kyoko saved a very special glass to start my meal..... and we were underway with a front-row seat to another fun adventure at Den Kushi Flori.

I've said it before. This restaurant is under priced, and is more than worthy of getting back on the star list.

This is a fun room, with a fun team in a relaxed atmosphere that showcases a beautiful mash-up of its namesake restaurants.
