Humble Chicken recently received its second star on its meteoric rise, and with that came a complete reno of the space (now HC 3.0). Chef Angelo Sato and team still deliver an occasional yakitori night (HC 1.0) true to the origin of the restaurant (now clocking in at HC 2.0 on this visit).

This wasn't the best yakitori I've had outside of Japan. It was the best yakitori I've ever had. Full stop.

While the chicken parts are sprayed down with sake before grilling, each part is complimentary varies in texture and flavours showing an artistic flair. Featured below is the chicken meatball, an absolute standout with char, juiciness and the silken egg.

I can't wait to return for HC 3.0 soon.
