If you can't get in to Agora downstairs, Oma is quite the delight with superb flavours in a high-volume kitchen.
Book the chef's counter and strap in as you watch mission control expedite more than 1,000 plates in a service. If you took a shot of uzo every time the kitchen recognized an allergy, you'd be drunk before your first taste arrived.
This Greek one * is all the rage.
The slutty spanakopita is the spinach dip you always wanted but never had.
All the spreads are worth the stomach space, with a special mention to the tahini and baba ghanouish, which are done to perfection.
The tuna ceviche, while not breaking any barriers, had the right proportions and freshness that are so often missed by other restaurants (like swimming in ponzu).
Speaking of freshness, the dressed salad on the fatty, decadent lamb belly was needed. The hummus, another perfect version of a spread.
The one misstep was the lamb which lacked seasoning and flavour. I was quite jealous of the beef leaving the kitchen and should have ordered that.
Service was relaxed and delightful, save for bringing out the wrong dessert, and the right one didn't get fired for an interminably long time. Happens when you're pumping out that much food.
Overall, a worthy meal, but do ask in your booking notes for a seat at the pass. Chef was lovely and even stopped to chat despite an endless number of tickets coming in and plates going out.

The Single Table pays in full for all meals it posts about.
